After listening to this throwback demo mixtape of Kanye instrumentals, the phrase “I Love The Old Kanye” definitely holds true. Consisting of eight unreleased beats, the tape was originally owned by a Miami record exec who passed in the early 2000’s and has been auctioned off twice since. The new owner and Soundcloud user Trilly Madison decided to be a true hero, and upload the whole tape for streaming.
The soulful, sample heavy, laid back instrumentals are works of simplistic beauty that showcase a sound far removed from Kanye’s more recent productions. Yet this tape is a true representation of the sound which made Kanye one of the most sought out producers in his early career.
Stream the entire project below, and pray to the hip-hop gods that more tapes like these get unearthed.
Big news from French Montana’s corner: today he announced that he has signed with Bad Boy Entertainment and Epic Records. His first single under the label is “Figure it Out” featuring Kanye West and Nas, initially released on his Wave Gods mixtape. Watch the video for it above.
In light of Tidal’s suspect announcement claiming TLOP was streamed 250 million times in its first 10 days, I have finally come to terms with the fact that the album is one of Kanye’s least memorable projects. Luckily we have Lido breathing new life into it, with a masterfully produced remix medley of a number Pablo tracks. Lido adds his bright production style to “I Love Kanye”, “Fade”, “Father Stretch My Hands” and meshes them into a dope 9-minute mix dubbed “Life of Peder”. Stream the mix above and download it now at lifeofpeder.com.
Update: Stream has been removed from Youtube.

After premiering The Life of Pablo last night at Madison Square Garden, it seems like Kanye isn’t ready to release the entire album to the masses just yet. Instead he gives us “30 Hours” as a return to G.O.O.D. Fridays.
Update: He will be dropping the album later today, now with 17 confirmed tracks. See below.
Peep this unreleased Kanye West Tim Westwood freestlye from 2004. He spits over “Slow Jamz,” “Change Clothes,” “Encore,” and “Stand Up” beats
Kanye kept to Kim’s promise and dropped another new track this week. This time it’s the full version of “No More Parties In L.A.” which he had previewed at the end of last week’s release – “Real Friends”. Featuring a phenomenal verse from Kendrick Lamar and an invigorated Yeezy spitting like it’s 2007 again, this is already being considered an instant classic from the G.O.O.D. Music founder. Listen to it for yourself below, and keep your fingers crossed for another new song this week and that Swish actually comes out on February 11.
